Below are some thoughts that have come
but not stayed long enough to grow into a blog.
At the store, we have 14 tables of ties, one or two tables for each tie vendor; approximately 3,000 ties in all. And there are another 200 in the back waiting to be put out. Part of my job is to keep the tie tables neat, an almost impossible task during Christmas rush. As I work on table A, I find a couple of ties from table C. I take it to the C table and see that table is a mess. So I start straightening the C table, forgetting about the A table. (I am confused writing this!). Then it hit me, one of the problems I have had through these 60 plus years is keeping focused on one task at a time. I have talents in several areas and seem to move from one task or job to another, never really completing or becoming good at anything. Since recognizing this problem at work, I have been forcing myself, and I must force myself, to stick to one tie table at a time.
